We are all devastated at Rick’s sudden departure and we will miss his kind soul and willingness to always step up to help in any situation no matter what it was. His home was always open to welcome friends and family for a visit or a meal. Rick’s love of travel was contagious and people who knew him always wanted to be a part of his next adventure. Jack and I are so honored to have been a part of his and Linda’s lives

To the Spillers Family, Rich was a great friend and neighbor, he will be missed by his Sunday Morning breakfast Club along with the Staff at the Sunrise Restaurant. He always made the breakfast interesting and a pleasant way to start the day! We will always hold his chair as we know he will be there in spirit! Linda remember we are just up the street if you are ever in need of anything. Our prayers are with you and family! Evan and Lucy Elkins.

Richard and I have been friends and neighbors for the last 7 years. He was an avid fisherman and we caught our share each time we were on the water. I looked forward to our weekly breakfasts where we dissected most of the neighborhood rumors and other worldly challenges that needed solving. Richard was the first to volunteer his time and talent whether it was putting up a new neighborhood street sign, serving on the HOA board, helping with boat and dock issues, or just being a good friend. He will be missed.

We sure will miss our Richard here at Tarpon Flats. Living directly across the street, he greeted us with a smile every single morning, a wealth of information and solution to any little problem that would arise. I know the guy’s cherished their time with Richard – boating and at their Breakfast Club & other social events. Our sincere condolences to Linda who he so adored and the entire Spillers family. Rest easy Richard and God Bless!

Our deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of the Spillers on the death of their husband, father, grandfather. It was quite a surprise to learn of his passing. We will remember him with fondness as a kind neighbor. Although our interaction was minimal, Art and I will remember him for his warmth and kindness to us. Linda it was enjoyable visiting with you today, learning more about Richard and his jobs and interests as well as yours. As I said ,our doors are always open if you just need someone to listen , be physically present , and hold your hand as you journey through the days of grief ahead. You are blessed to have a son and granddaughter who will be moving in with you to offer emotional support . Emotional support is priceless at a time like this. May God be your spouse now holding you up and giving you peace and serenity during this very difficult time. Feel free to call or text us anytime. All our love, Laurianne & Art Alston
