Robert A. Walmsley, age79, passed away on October 21, 2014, in Vero Beach, FL.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Vero Beach, in 2002 coming from Orlando, FL.
He was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Purple Heart, and was awarded the Air Medal nine times.
He was a graduate of Gettysburg College, PA, where he was captain and of the collegiate wrestling team, and champion of his weight class two consecutive years.
He is survived by two children, Robert Scott Walmsley and Holley Ann Walmsley Hawkes and their mother, Martha Walmsley Brown; five grandchildren, Kate Walmsley, Jane Walmsley, Rachell Hawkes, Sawyer Hawkes, Jillian Hawkes; his brother, Donald Walmsley and wife, Kay Walmsley; his niece, Adrienne Walmsley Adelman; nephew, David Walmsley. He is also survived by his fianc�, Katy Thompson.
