Robert Earl Jones, age 86, passed away Sunday, April 2nd at his home.
He was born in Vero Beach and was a lifetime resident.
Mr. Jones was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Mr. Jones was a man of faith; he was a former Deacon of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
He had worked at Green’s Gas for 15 years and went on to retire from Piper Aircraft after 25 years working in fabrication.
Mr. Jones was a former member of Vero Beach Moose Lodge #1822.
He survived by his beloved wife, Lucille Jones; daughter, Carol (Bobby) Davis of Vero Beach; son, David (Debbie) Jones also of Vero Beach; sisters, Zonnie Smith of Atlanta, GA and Louneal Letchworth of Palm Harbor, FL; five grandchildren, Tabitha Grant, Kristen Davis, Ashley Owens, Lindsay Jones & Ryan Davis; five great-grandchildren, Jada Grant, Nila Grant, Hailey Owens, Austin Owens, and Adriana Davis.
Services will be private.
Mr. Jones was predeceased by his son, Ronnie Jones in 2011.
