Rosemary Konrad Davis, age 93, passed away peacefully, March 18, 2023, at The Brennity of Vero Beach, Senior Living, in Vero Beach, FL. She was with her two loving sons, E. Scott and Randall.
She was loved by her friends and family and known for her intellect and inquisitive nature, rare book collecting and passion for bird watching.
Rosemary was born in Albany, N.Y. on November 15, 1929. She attended Russell Sage College and graduated from University of Connecticut with a degree in education. She studied additionally at Wayne State University in Detroit for specialization in remedial reading.
She worked at the New York State Laboratory in Albany, Liberty Mutual Insurance, a teacher in the Detroit school system for 12 years.
As a resident of Vero Beach, she was a volunteer coordinator at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute and a member of the Vero Beach Yacht Club along with her husband Ed.
She lived in Albany NY, Huntington, Long Island NY, West Hartford Connecticut, Grosse Pointe Farms Michigan before retiring to Florida in 1984. She enjoyed her summers in Rainbow Lake NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1988.
She was preceded by her parents Herman and Florence Konrad, her beloved husband Edmund of 67 years of marriage and her brothers Walter and Robert. She is survived by her two sons, E. Scott (Kathy) of Vero Beach Florida and Randall (Dori) of Marco Island Florida; grandchildren John Davis, Tom Davis, Brooke Davis, Lindsey Davis, and Parker Davis.
A memorial is being planned in the near future.
