Sarah Frances (Shelton) Harp, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on August 21st, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Madison, Georgia to Henry Clifford Shelton and Sallie Mae Simmons. Sarah was a graduate of Bass High School in Atlanta, Georgia, Class of 1959. After graduation, Sarah relocated with her husband to Vero Beach where she would raise two children and begin her career with the Indian River County School District, as an inventory specialist and recorder. She went on to retire from the school district in 2008. After retirement, Sarah would spend her time volunteering with various Christian organizations as well as the Salvation Army.

Sarah dedicated her life to her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. Sarah was a devoted mother, Christian, and loved the Lord. She wanted everyone she met to know Jesus. Her faith played a role in everything in her life. Sarah attended Central Assembly of God Church through the early 2000’s and participated in many women’s bible groups and ministries. Sarah had a kind loving spirit and treated everyone she met with kindness. She will be greatly missed by her family.

She is survived by her children, Stacy (Victor) Regan, Greg (Lana) Harp; grandson, Justin Harp; granddaughter, Madison Ward (Connor) Karns; great-granddaughter, Harper Karns; and the father of her children, Glynn Philip Harp.

Sarah was predeceased by her parents, Henry & Sallie Mae Shelton; brothers, Paul Shelton, Willie Shelton, Bennie Howard Shelton, C.W. Shelton, Henry Shelton Jr.; and sister, Della Mae Williams (Shelton).

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at 10:00 am at the First Methodist Church (1750 20th Street, Vero Beach Fl. 32960).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach Fl. 32960 in Sarah’s name.

Dear Stacy, Greg and Fran’s entire family, Sending my sincere and deepest sympathy on the home going of your momma. I know she is healed and free dancing on the streets of gold in heaven with Jesus, but know you will miss her immensely. I will be praying as you draw near to Lord, He will wrap His loving arms around each of you and give you the comfort He knows you need~ He heals the broken hearted and loves you all so deeply.
