Scott was born in Davie, Florida and raised in Vero Beach, Florida. He was the son of the late James Thomas Patteson and Louise Patteson, of Vero Beach.
Scott attended school and graduated from Vero Beach High School, class of 1979. He attended University of Central Florida and left to pursue a career in culinary arts. Scott worked in the food service industry as a talented chef and enjoyed cooking.
Spending time with his family in the mountains or at the beach was always a place he was the happiest. His sons and grandchildren were his proudest accomplishments!
He is survived by his wife, Laura Chamberlin Patteson of Knoxville, TN; sons, Scott Tyler (Kaleigh) Patteson of Fellsmere, Hunter James of Orlando; grandchildren, Braeden and Brynleigh Patteson; brother, James (Kathleen) Patteson; sister Shauna Patteson Baur of Vero Beach; and former spouse, Donna Fretwell Patteson and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Karen Patteson Mack.
Scott will lovingly be remembered by his family and friends
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
