Shelley Anne Meeler, 56, passed due to cancer on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Fla. Meeler, a native to Wyckoff, N.J., was the daughter of Ralph and Eleanor Snyder.
Three loving daughters survive Meeler: Rachel Elizabeth Wright, 29, Kristin Eleanor Chapman, 26, and Charity Mae Meeler, 17.
Meeler also left behind her mother, two brothers � Stephen and Ralph Snyder � and a sister, Daryl-Lynn Bolden.
Meeler spent 30+ years as a bookkeeper in the restaurant industry. Additionally she was assistant manager at a CVS in Vero Beach, Fla., where she liked helping others. She was a resident of Vero for seven years.
Burlington, N.C., was Meeler�s home for over 20 years. This was where she initially raised her daughters.
On the side, Meeler enjoyed reading, researching Snyder family history, gardening, flower arrangement and family.
She was quick to crack a remark or smile. A free spirit, she protested against the Vietnam War and for the rights of Native Americans. As a child she rode horses on the family farm.
A true rolling stone, Shelley Anne Meeler is deeply missed.
A gathering is scheduled at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach, Fla., on Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 2 till 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Lung Association, 6852 Belfort Oaks Place, Jacksonville, Fla., 32216 in Meeler�s name.
