Sherley Park Hohmann, affectionately named “Candy” passed away at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 just three days past her 88th birthday. At Beloit, she met and fell in love with William “Bill” R. Hohmann. They were married 52 years until his death in 2004. Survivors include her sister, Judith (Edgar) Barnett of Chicago, IL and her children Susan (Stan) Dilley of Buckeye, AZ; Sarah (Bob) Loutt of New Palestine, IN; Thomas (Barb) Hohmann of Vero Beach; and Jennifer (Steve) Frederick of Vero Beach. Also surviving Candy are her most loving grandchildren: Samantha, Sara, Chris, Martin, Jenn, Erica, Jessica, Melissa and Tyler; and her great-granddaughter, Isabelle.
Candy’s work life spanned real estate, banking, and home health care. She was an avid volunteer with nearly 7,000 hours in the ER of Indian River Medical Center. In the past few years she volunteered at the Cat’s Meow, a no-kill cat shelter in Vero Beach.
