Sherry Lytz Garrett, 76, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024 in Vero Beach, Florida.
She was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on July 25, 1948.
After graduating from Stanahan High School and Auburn University, she worked as an accountant.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Charles Garrett, son Charles III, daughter Christine, sister Linda Moore, two granddaughters and three great granddaughters. In addition, she is survived by brother-in-law Roy Garrett and his wife Rita.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Anglican church and the Garden Club of Indian River County. She had been a member of church choirs and choral groups since the age of 6. Sherry volunteered for the Indian River Soccer Association, PTA and Girl Scouts.
She was predeceased by her parents, Emily and Lucian Lytz and brothers-in-law Marshall Clark and James Moore.
Sherry impacted many lives in her quiet, behind the scenes demeanor.
Service will be 10:00 AM on January 11, 2025 at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 1795 45th Street, Vero Beach, Florida.
