Stacia P. Judge, a resident of Vero Beach, died March 9, 2015 at the age of 96.
She was surrounded by her family and her amazing �Village� of friends. Stacia was active to the end of her life, socializing, gardening, keeping up with the latest styles, corresponding with her numerous nieces and nephews and participating in the activities of her church, Saint John of the Cross.
Stacia was born Feb. 25, 1919 in Cambridge, MA, the 4th daughter of Stefanie (Stella) and Joseph John Pryszmont�s five girls. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Somerville, MA and went on to graduate from business school.
She was only the second woman to be admitted into Burdett College in Boston and following in the footsteps of her sister, Irene, graduated with honors.
Stacia worked for Addison Wesley Publishing and later, Barbos.
An independent woman, Stacia refused to become engaged before her 25th birthday. On the �Day of Consent�, the love of her life, Eddie Judge had to propose by proxy since he was stationed in the Pacific at the time. They were married in Belmont, MA, Feb. 9, 1947.
Together they shared a life of adventure. Her husband, Eddie was active in the Charles River Yacht Club in Cambridge, MA. Stacia sailed with him in New England, and later accompanied him on yachts he captained between Boston and Ft. Lauderdale.
After retiring they sold their home in Stoneham, MA and enjoyed many �Around the World in Eighty Days excursions as private guests on freighters. In this way, they traveled in style to exciting ports including those of Australia, Japan and Belgium.
Stacia is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, her brother-in-law Stanley Judge and the best friends and neighbors anyone could possibly have.
A memorial mass will be held at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10 AM.
