Stephen J. Corsetti, Sr. passed away at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital on December 31, 2020 at the age of 99. He was in his 100th year, which was always an important milestone to him. He was a resident of The Brennity at Vero Beach, at the time of his passing.
Stephen “Steve” was born in Woburn, MA to Bernard and Frances Corsetti, as one of nine children.
Steve was a World War II veteran and served in the military for twenty-three years. He and his family traveled extensively and lived in Africa, Spain, Michigan, and California. Following his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Steve was employed by the Polaroid Corporation in Waltham, MA.
Upon retiring from Polaroid, he and his wife Lillian, the love of his life for 76 years, traveled extensively throughout the United States. They moved from MA to North Hutchinson Island where they lived for twenty-two years. The couple enjoyed many around the world cruises and their love of ballroom dancing. Lillian passed away in May of 2019.
A Military Burial Service for both Stephen and Lillian will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA in late Spring.
Steve is survived by four children, eight grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. Family always came first and “Grampy” was dearly loved and will be missed immensely.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Raymond Duong, MD and his staff, especially Wendy, who we affectionately referred to as “The Boss,” their medical expertise and compassion, were greatly appreciated over the years. Also, a heartfelt thanks to the Hospital Staff of 5 East, they are truly “Angels from Heaven.”
In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions in Mr. Corsetti’s name to VNA & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

The absolute “coolest fool from the motor pool”, one of his favorite sayings! Grampy, you will be missed! Such a huge impact on my life and my kids as well! Amazing that his great grandchildren were able to spend so much time with you, but they didn’t think it was enough! We will miss you Grampy! Give Nana a big hug for us! We love you! Chris, Sue, Ryan, Grace and Libby!

We will miss you always and forever Grampy. The world is a little less cool now that your not in it!! I will cherish all of our memories together, your jokes, beyond interesting and entertaining story telling abilities that would “solve all of the worlds problems.” You will live on as your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will continue to tell your stories. I know you’re at peace now that your reunited with nana. Until we see each other again. I love you grampy!!! – your one and only granddaughter xoxo

Hi Dad, I think of you every day and miss our daily phone conversations. I know that I’ve been blessed to have had you and Mother for so many years of my life and for that I am extremely grateful and appreciative. Our traveling and living in Tripoli, Libya and Zaragosa, Spain and touring most of Europe as well as, living in Michigan, California and Massachusetts was one of the greatest gifts. And we get to watch your video recording of those travels with a smile.
