Sylvia Pomfret, age 75, of Vero Beach, entered into eternal peace on April 2, 2016.
She was born in England and moved to Jamaica shortly after marrying her husband, David. From Jamaica, they moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Ocean Ridge, and finally to Vero Beach.
Mrs. Pomfret was an incredibly talented artist. She enjoyed painting birdhouses, nature and flowers. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and a great sense of humor.
She also enjoyed reading, collecting antiques, playing squash, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and caring person, always thinking of others first. Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband, David E. Pomfret; son, Steven M. Pomfret and daughter-in-law, Jane A. Pomfret; and granddaughter, Morgan L. Pomfret.
The family will greet friends April 13, 2016 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory.
