THOMAS EDWARD �Eddie� ANDERSON, 55, passed away unexpectedly at his home on May 14, 2014.

Eddie was born and raised in Vero Beach, FL. He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, Class of 1977.

Eddie served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division from 1976 to 1979.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Vero Beach and Promise Keepers.

He was also a member of the American Legion and Florida Trail Rider�s Association.

Eddie was President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Vero Beach.

He owned G&B Asphalt and Anderson Asphalt Maintenance, Inc.

More recently, Eddie was employed with AA Advanced Air and Colkitt Air Conditioning.

Eddie loved fishing, boating and spending time with his family. His favorite pastime was grilling and cooking on the weekends.

Eddie never met a stranger and was loved by all that knew him.

Survivors include his daughter, Lauren Anderson (daughter of Sharon) of Boca Raton, FL; father, Gerald Anderson of Vero Beach; sister, Vicki Kromhout (Ron) of Colorado; brother, Andy Anderson (Tina) of Tampa, FL; brother, Dean Anderson (Wanda) of Vero Beach; brother, Bruce Anderson (Ana) of Vero Beach and companion, Brenda Miller of Vero Beach.

Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Anderson of Vero Beach.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 20th at First Baptist Church of Vero Beach.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Celebration of Recovery, through First Baptist Church (fbcvero.org) or the Special Operations Wounded Warrior Foundation (www.specialops.org).

Eddie (aka Jethro), you were the first guy that ever took my breath away. Even though our time was short because your were getting out of the Army you stole my heart. My only regret is that I never told you how I felt. Sorry that it’s taken me 43 years to say, I love you Jethro!
