Victor Lavern Tupper, 79, of Sebastian, Florida, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 17, 1933 in Sherman Township, Michigan and moved to Sebastian in 1982 coming from Hollywood, FL.
Mr. Tupper was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict.
He retired as District Manager from Bellsouth Telephone Company after 30 years of service and later worked as a security guard for Grand Harbor, Vero Beach.
Mr. Tupper was of the Baptist Faith. He was a member of the American National Cribbage Club and the Sebastian Cribbage Club.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois Tupper of Sebastian; sons, Kenneth (Nancy) Tupper of Peach Tree City, GA and Gary Tupper of Washington, DC; daughters, Lisa (Dan) Marckel of Vero Beach and Karen Diaz of Minneapolis, MN; sisters, June Ingalls, Claudine Ross; brother, Harvey Tupper; 7 grandchildren, Dawn (Jeremy) Adams, Shawn (Dawn) Tupper, Evan (Catherine) Tupper, Dane Marckel, Neal (Charlotte) Tupper, Aaron Marckel and Olivia Diaz and 3 great-grandchildren, Tiffany Adams, Keiralynn Grace Tupper and Brayden Tupper along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Thocker, Donna Sickles, Margaret Smith, Evelyn Campbell and brother, Harold Tupper.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday January 6, 2013 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
