Virginia Beuttel Gridley, age 94, passed away September 2, 2017 at her home surrounded by loving family.
She was born June 23, 1923 in Covington, Kentucky to the late Carl and Virginia (Moss) Beuttel.
Ms. Gridley attended Ohio State and was a graduate of Miami University Oxford, Ohio where she earned her Master’s degree in Education Media.
Virginia has been a resident of Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from Wyoming, Ohio. She was a teacher in the Wyoming school district for over 30 years She was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church and enjoyed volunteering her time with the Vero Beach Art Club and she was an avid bridge player.
No matter how she was known: teacher, neighbor, friend or family, she was a person greatly respected and profoundly loved.
Survivors include her children, Bob & Jane Thall, Carla Gridley, Roger Gridley, Melissa & Charles Murray; nine grandchildren, Carl, David, Lydia (Michael), Virginia, Bo (Megan), Darien, Grace, Will (Olga), and Ruth (Joe); 6 great-grandchildren, Zoe, David, Cece, Bolee, Mark, and Carson; 4 great-great grandchildren, Eli, Ethan, Eli and Aden; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews and friends.
Brother and sister in law, Bill & Jane Beuttel and daughter, Diane Arthur predeceased her.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at St. Augustine Episcopal Church.
