Combined to create an unbreakable bond.
Five hearts, five souls, five yellow hats now one.
We grieved when Don moved on,
Now our brother Pete is gone.
We have lost another piece of our heart.
We Grieve, we grieve.
Rest In Peace, my brother.

Missing Pete and my heart is breaking. God bless you Pat and your family. Pete was an inspiration for me. Memories of Minnesota past, and more recently with the “Yellow-Hats”, with Pete, have made my life that much more happy. I know he, with Don, and Sandy, will enjoy his well deserved reward.

Amy and I are both sad and happy about Pete reaching his eternal home. He was such a humble and quiet servant to our church all the years that we were there. Janet Sutherlin and George Anderson would fill me (Al) in on all the people Pete checked on. Very few people will do the hard work of going to shut-in homes and spending time with them. It is such a neglected ministry. We also loved Pete’s wit as he told stories to us a couple of times at the Sunday School class fellowship. He has a certain twinkle in his eye that made you know something funny and witty was about to be said. We love all of you and will pray for you during this time of remembrance.

Dear Pat and family,
I’ve been trying to find the words to express my feelings since receiving the news of Pete’s passing. Words don’t seem to be enough and it’s hard to put them in what should be a tribute to him. But let me try,
Life is a gift and in living you set the goal for others to follow and remember you by. Pete did this everyday and set the bar very HIGH. Everyone that came in contact with him realized this. To my knowledge he never met a stranger, nor did he ever turn his back on anyone in need.
As you know Pete and I go back quite ways (1958) and as life progressed we lost contact. When we reunited years later he’d changed, but for the better. He had found you and raised a family, as did all of us, but he was the guiding light and set the standard as always. Kind, considerate, faithful, funny, helpful, are only a few of the words one can use to describe him. I think of all the memories that we’ve made and thank God for the time we had with you both.
My heart is heavy and my eye’s wet but I know Pete is in a better place and doing all that God ask. We all miss him and await the time when the Yellow Hat’s reunite again.
May God bless you and the family, and guide you all through this trying time. Know that our prayers are with you.

May you rest in peace, my good friend. Brenda and I send our prayers to Pat and the girls and the Session family. Pete was a most respected man in the citrus industry, through Seald Sweet. He was a dedicated employee who told you the true facts, even if you didn’t want to know them. He was devoted to his beloved, Pat, and his daughters. He followed his Lord’s footsteps and preachings. He was a dedicated American soldier who honored his country and flag. RIP Pete.
