William G. Cassinelli, 73, died on January 22, 2021 at home with his wife at his side. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 14th, 1947 and moved from Queens, New York and Long Island, New York to Florida in 1988.
Bill was a paratrooper and a Special Forces Sergeant in the United States Army.
He retired from the New York City Police Department and the Florida Department of Corrections.
Bill was a member of 1013 Club – Life Member American and Legion 318 – Life Member Marine Corps League. He also was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America.
He attended John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.
Survivors include his wife Maryann; son, William Jr; daughters, Dawn, Michelle, and Julieann; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Bill was predeceased by his father, William R; mother, Frances; and sister Rose Marie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday, April 14th, at Noon at Post 318 American Legion and burial will be April 15th, at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie at 10:00 am.

My favorite Uncle, I am so sorry you are no longer with us. I was unaware of your passing. I will always remember you!!!!! Hope you find the peace in your death that you could not find in your life.
