William Reginald Lawrence (Reggie) passed away peacefully, with wife, Mireille and niece, Sandy, by his side at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida on September 22, 2022.
Reg was born to Leontine (Andoney) Lawrence and W. Elsden Lawrence in Montreal, Canada on October 7, 1942. He attended McGill University and moved to New Jersey in 1978, before relocating to Vero Beach, Florida in 1981.
Reg is survived by his wife of 49 years Mireille Lawrence; his son, Carl Lawrence; Carl’s mother, Arleen Chenoll; sister, Lena Lawrence (Phil Keegan); as well as many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
He now rejoins loved family members Leontine and W. Elsden Lawrence and his brothers, Paul and Kyle Lawrence.
Reg was a long standing member of the Shriners Organization in New Jersey’s Salaam Temple before moving to Azan Temple in Melbourne, Florida. He embraced the Shriners fellowship and lived by the Shriners creed.
Reg will forever be remembered for his infectious laugh, and his zest for life. He found joy in every day. He was charming, cheerful, loyal, reliable, and strong to the end.
He is gone but not forgotten, he will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
Ashes will be inurned at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal, Canada in the Lawrence family plot.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr. Tampa, FL 33607.
A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
