Carroll B. “CB” Keck, 93, of Vero Beach, passed away February 14, 2015 at VNA Hospice House.

He was born March 14, 1921 in Coalport, PA.

Mr. Keck had been a seasonal resident of Vero Beach since 1974, moving here full time in 1983, coming from Panther Valley, NJ.

He had attended schools in KY and PA. He graduated from Doylestown, PA, High School Class of 1938 and the University of Pennsylvania in 1955.

Mr. Keck went into the Naval Aviation Cadet Program in 1942, graduating from Pensacola in Feb. 1944 and attending fighter training school in Sanford, FL. He served in both the South Pacific in WWII as a fighter pilot off the Santee and again in the Pacific during the Korean War.

Mr. Keck retired from the Navy in 1964 and went with Global Airlines as Vice President of Operations.

In 1967, he went with Flight Safety as program manager to develop a new corp. training program for a new model corporate jet aircraft, the Falcon Jet. He continued with Flight Safety, serving as Director of Training and Center Manager at Teterboro Jet Training Center.

Mr. Keck was one of the first civilians designated as a FAA Corporate Jet Examiner. He retired from Flight Safety in 1986, but remained as a consultant until 1992. Mr. Keck logged over 19,500 hours in his 53 years of flying.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Hexter of New Port Richey, FL; his son, Kim W. �KW� Keck of Vero Beach; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mr. Keck was predeceased by his wife, Bert.

A graveside service will be held at FL National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date.
