Doris Aleene Deel, 79 of Crete, IL and Sebastian, FL passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Indian River Medical Center.
She was born April 28, 1939 in Kingsport, TN, the daughter of Ezra Wallace Jayne and Ida Orfield Jayne.
Aleene graduated from Lynn View High School in Kingsport, TN with the class of 1956. On February 9, 1957, she was united in marriage to Donald Hugh Deel in Gate City, VA. In 1957, they moved to Crete, IL.
She is survived by her husband, Donald H. Deel, Sr., of Crete, IL and Sebastian, FL; three children, Alyce (Patrick) Weglarz of Vero Beach, FL, Donald (Joan) Deel, Jr., of Cedar Lake, IN, and Mia (Charles) Chalik of Parkland, FL; seven grandchildren, Eric (Jodi) Beyhl, Jaquelyn (Seth) Campbell, Lauren Deel, Logan Deel, Natalie Deel, and Ivana Chalik; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Colvin and Greyson Horst. She was preceded in death by her father, Ezra Wallace Jayne; mother, Ida Orfield Jayne; her sister, Margaret Willis; brothers-in-law, Giles Willis and Michael Stabile and granddaughter, Deirdre Deel.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018 in the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach, FL with reception to follow.

Remembering my beloved Sister-in-Law Aleene you are one of my most favorite sister-in-laws you brought joy laughter and so much fun to our family. We shared a lot of good times together. You made the most beautiful and best tasting Cherry pie I ever had!! You saved that pie from the rainstorm and we all got to enjoy some later.
