BettyLee Cornell of Vero Beach passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 27, 2014, with her son by her side. BettyLee was born August 7, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. Her husband, Merrill Cornell, predeceased her in 2009. She is survived by her son, Chip Woody, of Vero Beach, and her daughter Betsey Woody of Berkley, CA. She has two grandsons, Mason and Logan Woody, and a granddaughter, Embley Fuchs.
BettyLee graduated from Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, MD. She attended Beaver College and graduated from Towson State University Suma Cum Laude.
BettyLee moved to Vero Beach in 2002 where she met and married her husband, Merrill Cornell. She was a member of the John�s Island Club and a previous member of the Elkridge Club and Baltimore Country Club.
BettyLee�s love of French Culture sparked the desire to speak French fluently and share her gift with others.
A celebration of BettyLee�s life will be held in her honor for family abd friends. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA, the address 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
