Francis “Gable” Thompson, age 87, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, in Vero Beach, Forida.
He was born in Ocilla, Georgia and moved to Vero Beach, Florida in January of 1956.
Gable retired from the City of Vero Beach and T&D Electric for over 41 years as a Lineman.
He was a charter member of Kings Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife Margean of just shy of 68 years; sons Faron Thompson (Linda), Brian Thompson, Michael Thompson (Cynthia); grandchildren Roan Thompson, Jack Thompson, Kaitlin Brewer, Meaghan Harrell, Michaela Haffield, and Cole Thompson along with six great-grandchildren.
Gable predeceased his parents Roan and Frances Thompson; brother Carlton Thompson; and sister Carlene Paulk.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Kings Baptist Church on September 12, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00, with the service beginning promptly at 11:00 am.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Kings Baptist Church 3235 58th Avenue, Vero Beach FL.
