Gary William Martin, 67, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away at 12:27 AM, Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at The Vero Beach Hospice House after a courageous battle against cancer. He was born October 5, 1949 in Springfield, Illinois, to William and Regina Martin and was a long time resident of Vero Beach.
Gary is survived by his children, Scott Martin of Brooklyn, New York and Kelly Nichelson of Bartow, Florida as well as his beloved granddaughters, Isla and Ansley Nichelson of Bartow, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his son, Alan Martin of Vero Beach, his parents William and Regina Martin of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and his two brothers, Michael Martin of Washington State and Gregory Martin of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
A wealth of knowledge, humor and strength, Gary was well loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Services will be held privately with family at home to honor Gary and his beautiful life.
