Potanovich, George A. Jr. 85, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on December 6, 2016 at Indian River Medical Center. He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut son of the late George A. and Rose (Gaydos) Potanovich. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Annie Mae Potanovich. George was retired, after 33 years, from the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut as a Health Inspector. He was a member of the Fairfield County Sheriff�s Association, Bpt. Retired Municipal Employees Association, Officer of the First Slovak Wreath of the Free Eagle, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion of Vero Beach, Florida. He is survived by his devoted sister, Joyce Potanovich of Key Biscayne, FL; devoted grandson, Carlo Zaskorski; and his loving great-granddaughter, Beatrice of Napperville, Illinois. George is also survived by his loving Papillion, Missy.

A memorial Mass will be held at St. John of the Cross 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 2016. A military service will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL on Thursday January 28, 2016 at 1 p.m.
