George M. Osborn, 73, lost his hard-fought battle with cancer on May 28, 2018 at the VNA Hospice House.

Born in Dallas, TX on January 27, 1945 to William and Lee Osborn. George lived in Stroudsburg, PA where he attended Pennsylvania Military College. He proudly served our country as a Second Lieutenant in the Army during the Vietnam War, where he met and married Son his wife of 49 years. After leaving Vietnam, they lived in Marathon, FL before moving to Costa Rica in 1981.

In 1988, George and his family moved to Vero Beach. George served as a deputy for the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office and retired in 2001. He spent his retirement enjoying life by traveling, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Son, his daughter Samantha, son in law Chad and two grandsons, Aidan and Brady Trumble. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bill.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 2, 2018 at 2597 12th Square SW, Vero Beach, FL starting at 4:00pm. This is open to any and all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the VNA Hospice House, 901 37th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
