Glenda “Carol” Henegar, 78, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on April 15, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Carol was born in Rome, Georgia, and spent much of her life in North Miami Beach, Florida. She later lived in Georgia for 15 years before making Vero Beach her home in 2010.
She was known for her warm smile and kind heart. Carol never met a stranger, she would stop and talk to anyone, always making people feel welcome and cared for. She was incredibly giving, strong, and deeply devoted to the people she loved.
Carol cherished her family, her many friends, and her church. She loved playing cards, shopping, and simply spending time with those closest to her.
Throughout her life, Carol held many roles that she was proud of. She taught preschoolers, worked with the Orange Bowl Committee in the 1980s, and especially loved being part of the Orange Bowl Parade and halftime shows. She also worked as a florist and as an airline stewardess. In 1996, she worked with The Coca-Cola Company during the Atlanta Olympics and later continued her career there until her retirement—something she was very proud of. She always enjoyed a good Coca-Cola.
In 2005, Carol courageously participated in a clinical research study at Emory University for adults with uncontrolled seizures, helping advance epilepsy treatment for others.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (John) Henneberg; her grandson, Austin Henneberg; her former husband, Bill “Chub” Henegar; her brothers, Paul E. Womack, Jr., Victor H. (Patricia) Womack and John Daniel Womack; and many, many beloved nieces, and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul E. Womack, Sr. and Jeanette Womack; her brothers, Bobby T. Womack and Jerry Womack; and her sisters-in-law, Nelda Womack and Penny Womack.
Carol will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts that feel both gratitude and grief as we remember Carol. Thank You for the life she lived, for the love she gave so freely, and for the many lives she touched in ways that will never be forgotten.
Lord, we honor her today—not just in words, but in the memories that continue to speak, in the kindness she showed, and in the legacy she leaves behind. You saw every quiet act of love, every moment of encouragement, every sacrifice made with a willing heart.
Father, we ask that You wrap Your comforting arms around her family, her friends, and all who feel this loss. Be near to those who are hurting. Fill the empty spaces with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind us that while we grieve, we do not grieve without hope.
We trust that Carol is now resting in Your presence—whole, healed, and at peace. Where there is no pain, no sorrow, and no tears—only joy in being with You.
Help us, Lord, to carry forward the best of who she was. Let her life continue to inspire us to love deeper, serve others, and cherish the time we are given.
We thank You for the gift of Carol. We release her into Your eternal care, trusting fully in Your promises.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance, Amen.

She was a joy to talk too like I often did for the 30 plus years I worked with her brother, Vick Womack, as well as Dan when he worked at his brother’s firm. Beautiful personality and always so warm and friendly. Beautiful family as well since I had the privilege of knowing the mom, dad (loved Mr. Womack) Bob, Penny (well the whole Womack clan). My deepest condolences and sending my prayers to the entire family
