The world lost one of its purest, brightest lights on December 30, when Jane Louise Degory (Lasser) (Miller) left us far too soon. Born in Turtle Creek, PA, Jane found in success both personally and professionally, owed to her work ethic, determination, and unwavering faith. While she had an accomplished career in business, her most important roles in life were as a truly incomparable mother and grandmother. Her granddaughters, Isabella and Olivia, were the lights of her life; she was never happier than when she could hold, play with, care for, and spoil them. She was a never-ending source of strength, support, and unconditional love for her children Steven, Christopher, Jennifer, and John, Jr. The love story she shared with her husband John was one for the ages. Their partnership was unshakable, and they seemed to find new ways to adore each other with each passing day. As the bedrock of her family, Jane exuded pure selflessness and joy until her final breath.
Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home in Vero Beach, FL on Friday, January 5 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held, at the funeral home, on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM, with entombment following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce.
Jane’s family will host a celebration of her extraordinary life in Pittsburgh, PA later this month.
While her earthly light may have extinguished, we know her spirit shines brighter than ever in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless people whose lives she touched.
