Janet (Adams) Beaton passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Janet was born on May 24, 1935 in Swampscott, MA and had been a resident of Ft. Pierce, FL since 1985. She is survived by her husband Earl J. Beaton of Fort Pierce, FL; her son and daughter-in-law Gary and Kathleen Beaton of Boxford, MA; her son and daughter-in law Kenneth and Jo Beaton of Micco, FL; her son and daughter-in-law Thomas Beaton and Linda Boylan of Boxford, MA; her daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Richard Roszkowski of Vero Beach, FL; her sister and brother-in-law Glenna and Joseph Appelbe of Hampton, N.H.; 5 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Janet lived in Lynn, MA, Kapaa, HI and Ft. Pierce, FL

She graduated from North Shore Community College in Beverly, MA in 1972 with a nursing degree. She worked as a registered nurse in the ICU. The last 10 years of her career she worked at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital in Vero Beach, FL as a night supervisor. She retired in 2000.

She was a creative, strong, loving, compassionate and adventurous woman. As much as she loved kayaking, white-water rafting and swimming with dolphins and manatees, she loved spending time with her family and friends more.

Her love and sarcastic wit will be greatly missed by her family and friends but never forgotten.

So sad to hear this. I’ve been wondering how and where she was. I worked closely with Janet in the ICU at Union Hospital Lynn and visited her in Hawaii when she lived there. She was a super special person and will always be a part of my life’s memories.
