Jeanne Marie Rafferty, age 79, passed away February 7, 2021 at Vero Beach, FL.  Jeanne was born in Lynn, Massachusetts and moved from Ghent, NY to Vero Beach, Fl.  She retired from the NYS Comptroller’s Office as Secretary to the Asst. Comptroller in 1995.

Survivors include: her son Robert (Laura) Rafferty, Ghent, NY; proud grandma of:  Robert (Carolyn) Rafferty; Ashlee Madsen; Dustin (Marcella) Olsen; cherished great-grandchildren: Etta, Adalyn and Jameson; loving sister Claire (Wayne) Ledder and many special nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was predeceased by her parents Arnold J and Anna Elizabeth Hebert and the love of her life, her husband, Robert P. Rafferty.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

to all of jeanne’s family please accept my condolence Jeanne was a great friend to alot of us here at Vero Beach she always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Her compassion for fellow mankind will always be there and hope to keep her compassion of hats for those in need..

I am so proud to have met Jean when I lived in Fl.. When I was home sick she would console me. Heaven was made for souls like you.

I’m so sorry to hear of Jeane’s passing. She was always such a classy person and friend. I was lucky enough to have stayed in touch with her over the years. She will be greatly missed by all of her NYSOSC friend. God love ya, Jeanne.

Words can’t describe how much I loved and will miss my Aunt Jeanne. She was always there and was a really great listener. She was so smart and always gave great advise. She was a great women. I know she is with Uncle Bob now and so that helps, but she will forever be missed. Paulette Rafferty
