Jerome Hudson of Vero Beach, FL passed quietly on August 19, 2026, at The Barclay Assisted Living and Memory Care. Jerome Hudson was born in Syracuse, NY on February 18, 1940, to the Late William E. Hudson and Mary L. Smith.
He graduated from Minoa New York High School in 1960 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was a qualified Aerospace Ground Technician and served in many countries, including Viet Nam. He remained until retirement, in January 1981.
Following retirement from the Air Force, Jerome worked for the Brevard County School System.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Andrea Ruth Cullen of Vero Beach, FL.
Jerome is also survived by his three sons, Anthony, David, and Timothy; several grandchildren, Mary (Hudson) Evans, Christopher, Melody and Caitlin; several great-grandchildren; brother, William S. Hudson of FL; half-brother, Richard O. Baldwin; half-sister, Veronica Patitucci of CT; and several nieces and nephews.
During his Air Force service years, he married Mary Elaine Blandino, who passed in December of 2006, after 41 years of marriage.
Jerome participated in bowling from an early age and later became a Certified Bronze Bowling Coach with the U.S. Bowling Congress. He participated in many tournaments, taking two championships in the Amateur Bowling Tour in 2007. Jerome was past Commander of VFW Post 4206, Melbourne, FL – 1983-1984. He was also a Boy Scouts of America Scoutmaster during his sons’ growing years.
He was a member of Community Church of Vero Beach, FL since 2010.
Interment with military honors will be held 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.

I am saddened to hear of Jerome’s passing. He was a kind and fun loving man who brought much joy to my step mother, Andrea, in times when it was most needed. For that I am grateful. I also appreciate his service to his country for which he will be forever honored. I send my sincere condolences to Andrea and his family. Rest in Peace Jerome. Your battles are over.
