With profound sadness, yet with the blessed hope found in Jesus Christ, we announce the passing of Jose A. “Joe” Negron, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was marked by kindness, creativity, laughter, and unwavering love for his family.

Born as Jose Negron in New York City, Joe carried his Puerto Rican heritage with pride throughout his life. More than thirty-two years ago, he and his beloved wife, Nilda Negron, left New York to begin a new chapter together in Vero Beach, Florida, where they built a life filled with love, hard work, faith, and cherished memories.

Joe faithfully worked for General Motors for twenty-five years as a forklift operator before retiring. He was known as a dependable, hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family.

Those who knew Joe knew he was blessed with remarkable creativity. He loved drawing, painting, and working with wood. Whether building tables, shelves, or other handcrafted projects, Joe found joy in creating something beautiful with his hands.

Music was woven throughout Joe’s life. He loved Christian worship music, country music, and traditional salsa. During his younger years in New York City, he enjoyed playing the congas, bringing rhythm, laughter, and joy to gatherings with family and friends.

Joe also had an unforgettable sense of humor. His quick wit, playful personality, and contagious smile could brighten a room and make people laugh when they needed it most.

Above all else, Joe loved his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nilda Negron; his loving son, Joseph Negron; two beloved sisters; one beloved brother; fourteen cherished nieces and nephews; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Joe’s greatest legacy was not found in the beautiful things he built with wood, but in the love, laughter, kindness, and memories he built within the hearts of those who loved him. While our hearts grieve deeply, we rejoice in the hope found through Jesus Christ. Joe’s earthly journey has ended, but God’s promises remain true

Interment will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2026, at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.

“Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” — 2 Corinthians 4:16–18

Until we meet again in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Joe will forever remain in our hearts, remembered with love, gratitude, and the joyful hope of our heavenly reunion.

Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

Dearest Nilda, being there in the season you both met and throughout the many years, you captured the most endearing attributes of Joe so beautifully. You were faithful to the end…which is only the beginning of his eternity with Christ. I will miss his quick wit and the phone calls, his hospitality and generosity. May God continue comforting you, protecting you and guiding you through the Holy Purposeful life He has planned for you. Saul and I love you and are here for you. Much love, Vangie
