Keith “Wayne” Adkins, age 76, of Vero Beach, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021.

He was born January 11, 1945, in Charleston, West Virginia to parents, James Luther and Beulah Huffman Adkins.

Keith had attended West Virginia University until serving in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He moved to Vero Beach 50 years ago, coming from Melbourne, FL.

Keith retired after working 20 years with Goodknight Lawn Equipment, Vero Beach, currently known as Jordan Mowers.

He was Past President of Fraternal Order of Eagles, Vero Beach, and a member of Vero Beach Moose Lodge and Vero Beach Veterans.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Kaye Adkins; daughters, Cassie (Jeff) Schlitt of Vero Beach and Korina Adkins of Phoenix, AZ; and three grandchildren, Parker, Delaney, and Mason Schlitt.

Keith was predeceased by his siblings, Denver, Jimmy, Nina, Faye, Marjorie, and Charlene.

Oh my, so sorry, so sorry, Wayne was a kind and caring person, met him working in the Engine shop at PAC….and last time I bought a part from him a Goodnights, shook his hand and he as usual said, sure was good to see you, and tell Patty (my wife) hello…I pray God will give you peace and comfort Kay….lv ya
