Lillian Catherine Ether went home to the Lord Sunday, March 5, 2023. She was born on August 26, 1927 to Catherine Stadtlander Fisher and Albert Fisher in Rosedale, NY. She had five siblings: Dorothy, Eleanor, Albert, Robert and Arthur, who all predeceased her. After graduation from Queens College she married the love of her life, Theodore (Ted) Ether on January 22, 1950. He predeceased her. Lillian is survived by their three sons and spouses: Eric and Jan Ether of University Place, WA, Russell and Andi Ether of Niles, MI and Thomas and Sue Ether of Vero Beach, FL.

Lillian and her five siblings grew up in Rosedale, NY where she made many lifelong friends. Her childhood friend Cathryn (Kay) Larsen married Ted’s brother Bob and they became sisters-in-law. It was a beautiful relationship for decades. Kay also predeceased her.

In 1967, Lillian, Ted and their three sons moved to South Bend, Indiana where they made a
home for 14 years. In 1981, Lillian and Ted moved to Matthews, NC, living there for 22 years
before moving to Indian River Estates in Vero Beach, FL in 2003. Wherever they lived they had
a close church family and good friends, with friendships lasting decades.

Lillian is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, granddaughters Jessi Ether, Emily
Waddington, April Ether, grandsons Joe Ether and Jonathan Ether, great granddaughter Graci
Ether and great grandson Liam Waddington, sister-in-law Carol Fisher, as well as many dear
nieces, nephews and their families.

Graveside service was conducted by Rev. Larry Watts on March 9, 2023 at Forest Lawn East in
Matthews, NC.
