Linda Lee Monjar, 78, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Linda was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach.
Linda was a dedicated employee of Piper Aircraft, where she worked for nearly 40 years before retiring. She will be remembered for her kind heart, warm smile, and the love she had for her family.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Cora and Curtis Kirkland, her daughter, Brenda Simmons; her brothers Franklin “Duke”, Curtis, Kenneth and Milton; and sisters Irene Smith and Lottie Purvis.
She is survived by her son, James Monjar (Michelle); her son-in-law, Edward Simmons; and her beloved granddaughter, Lorianna Simmons. She is also survived by her older brother, Edward “Buddy” Kirkland (Carol), as well as her niece and lifelong companion, Kathy Carter. Linda also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will cherish her memory.
Linda truly enjoyed time spent with family, especially birthdays, holidays, and any occasion that brought everyone together. Her love for family and togetherness was the center of her life and will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be announced at a later date.
