Margaret “Peggy” DiSesa, 87, of Vero Beach, FL passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, at VNA Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mamaroneck, NY to John and Marie Dailinger, Peggy lived a life defined by her warmth, kindness, and devotion to those she loved. She was the beloved and cherished wife of Frank J. DiSesa, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage and partnership.

If you asked Peggy what her greatest accomplishments were, she would immediately say being married to the love of her life, Frank, and raising their five children. She felt incredibly fortunate to be a stay-at-home mother, dedicating herself fully to her family and actively volunteering at her children’s schools. As her children grew, Peggy poured her energy into serving her community. She generously volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Vero Beach Museum of Art, taught water aerobics, and headed her neighborhood social committee. Known for her gift of making new friends everywhere she went, Peggy later served as the hospitality chair for her building after moving to Indian River Estates. Her deep faith also led her to be an active member of both the Holy Cross Women’s Guild and St. John of the Cross Women’s Guild.

During their 55 beautiful years together, Frank’s career took the family on many adventures across the country. They moved from Stamford, Connecticut, to the Midwest—living in both Illinois and Indiana—before returning east to Lunenburg, Massachusetts. In 1998, Frank and Peggy chose to settle in Vero Beach, Florida, where they built a wonderful life and made lifelong friends. In retirement, they cherished traveling the world together. They explored Europe, embarked on a Mediterranean cruise, and shared unforgettable sailing trips around the British Isles and the Caribbean with their dear friends, Bill “Captain Bly” and Tinkie Bobbs. Passionate about art, Peggy and Frank loved collecting original paintings from their travels, bringing home a piece of every destination to cherish forever.

Another of Peggy’s joys was spending time with her four grandchildren and meeting and playing with her great-grandson.

Peggy is survived by her son, Craig DiSesa (Heather) and her daughters, Dawn L. Bottomley (David), Jennifer DiSesa (Yvette Daigle), and Libby DiSesa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Vincent (Samantha), Meghan DiSesa (fiancé’ Joshua Podolle), Ian DiSesa (fiancée’ Lauren Page), Colin DiSesa and her great-grandson Anthony Joseph “AJ” Bottomley.

Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Frank J. DiSesa, Jr, son Christopher DiSesa, her parents, John and Marie Dailinger, her aunt Josephine Gibney and her cousins, Robert and Alan Gibney.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 7550 26th Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32966.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Peggy’s honor to VNA & Hospice Foundation 920 37th Pl, Ste 101 Vero Beach, FL 32960
