Marguerite (Marge) Mracek Morrison of Vero Beach, FL passed away on April 15, 2026. She was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ, and resided in Colonia for over 45 years before moving to Lakewood, NJ. Marge was a devoted member of St. John Vianney Church and was actively involved in the Altar Rosary Society. She also volunteered for many years at Community Medical Center in Toms River.
Marge was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest joys.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Mracek; her husband, Peter Morrison; her daughter, Maureen Gibson; her son-in-law, Dennis Forte; her sister, Jean Tanke; and her brother, David Mracek.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Forte of Vero Beach; her son, Peter Morrison, and his wife Corinna of Cape Coral; her seven grandchildren, Charles and Erin Tharp, Sharon Tharp, Kelly Tharp, Peter Morrison and Kyle Miller, Melissa and Michael Sanzari, Erin Gibson, and Lindsey and Judah Dixon; and her five great-grandchildren, Charley Rae Tharp, Riley Tharp, Nathan Sanzari, Kataleya Dixon, and Kayden Dixon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, with whom she remained close throughout her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. John Vianney Church, with burial at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Charity.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
