Zeldra Marice Powers Stark
Better known as Reasy.
Reasy, age 78, passed away peacefully August 13, 2020 due to a new onset of Leukemia. She was born May 20, 1942 in Adel, Georgia to Willie and Mimi Touchton. She married the love of her life, Charles James Powers Sr., in the year 1959.
Ceremony will be held Saturday, August 22, 1100 am. Mourners will meet at Winter Beach Cemetery, to scatter her ashes on the family grave.
She is survived by brothers and sisters, William Touchton, Sarah Ball, and Brenda Johnson, her children, Cathy Thomas, Charles Powers Jr., Sue Kaser, June Powers-Mack, John Randel Powers, Peggy Taylor. She was a grandmother, great-grandmother, and a great-great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Charles James Powers Sr., and her second husband Bernard J Stark Jr. also by her brother Vernon Touchton, and sister Linda Powers.
She met Charles when she was young. They married and worked together an a farm while they were living in Georgia. She had 6 children over the next 7 years and moved to Florida to help take care of her mother, Mimi Touchton and raising her siblings after Mimi passed. Charles worked several jobs to support his family, while Reasy went to school and became a Beautician. Reasy, was a strong woman, and raised 6 independent children. For the next several years she worked at Jamies Beauty Salon. Later, she was the record keeper at our family owned service station.
She was a talented lady, sewed and made a lot of our clothing when we were young. She made hand knitted blankets for all of us, she was always doing some type of craft.
