Marshall Summerlin, 56, passed away in Vero Beach, FL on November 23, 2016. Marshall was born and raised in Fort Pierce, FL and moved to Vero Beach in 1979.

Marshall worked for the City of Vero Beach for many years before pursuing a career in construction lead sales. He was a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan since the team started in 1966 when he was 6 years old. He loved to go camping and fishing.

Marshall is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathy Summerlin of Vero Beach; his daughter and son in law Ashley and Phillip Hufford, his son Jason Summerlin and his granddaughter Annabelle Hufford of Vero Beach, his stepmother Margaret Summerlin of Fort Pierce; two sisters, Terri Taylor and Dale van der Lugt of Fort Pierce; and five brothers, Paul Summerlin of Lakeland, Gary Clanton of Fort Pierce, Mike Clanton of Holiday, Jack Clanton of Orange Park, and Chris Powell of Stuart. He is also survived by his Aunt, Polly Ann Moore, his Uncle, Bunnie Keen and Aunt, Shirley Keen all of Fort Pierce and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Marshall is survived by his two best friends Gerald Ludwig and John Szymckec.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday December 2, 2016 at Parkview Baptist Church, 403 Hayes Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. Refreshments will be served following the service. Casual or Miami Dolphins attire is welcome at the service.

In lieu of Flowers, a memorial fund has been set up to help pay Marshall’s medical expenses.
