Flora Melvina DeGaetano, 84, of Pineville, Kentucky, and Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on July 18, 2022, at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital under the care of VNA Hospice.

She leaves behind her three adoring children, Chuck, Vicki (Allan), Stephen, and her husband, Joseph, and eleven grandchildren: Sean (Joseph), Stephanie (Will), Aaron (Stacy), Andrew (Katelyn), Rachael, Robert (Courtney), Adam, Tyler, Charles Jr (Austin), John Michael (Abigail), and Natalee (Chase), and twenty-one great-grandchildren: James, Rylan, Jackson, Maverick, Kaitlin, Amber, John Alex, Kenneth, James, Josiah, Rhyan, Josh, Gabe, Chase, Isabella, Jessie, Eli, Annabeth, Josephine, Ainslee, and Brynlee, and numerous loving relatives, including Mary Beth Stone-Lamb.

She is survived by sister Mary Lou Lee and brothers John Howard, Regas Howard and Cody Howard.

Melvina graduated from Pineville High School and worked for the Beach Bank/Northern Trust for 28 years before retiring as Assistant Vice President. She was an avid antique collector and bowler who enjoyed shopping. Her family was the joy of her life.

To honor Melvina, her family will hold a Celebration of Life at the Vero Beach First Church of the Nazarene on Aug 20, 2022, at 10:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the victims of the floods in Kentucky:

A wonderful beautiful person. A loving Mother, Grandmother and Great GrandMother. Always a smile and kind words towards everyone. She will be missed beyond words and remembered by all who were fortunate to have been in her presence.
