Michael Anthony Santacroce, born March 6, 1948, in Staten Island, New York, passed away on October 4, 2026. He was a resident of Vero Beach, Florida, where he enjoyed his retirement years.

Michael was a dedicated husband and father who cherished his family. One of his greatest joys was having his grandchildren and great-grandchildren around him, creating special memories and enjoying the time they spent together. His love for his family was an important part of his life and a legacy that will continue through the generations.

Throughout his professional life, Michael served his community through his work at the Brooklyn House of Detention and the Indian River County Sheriff’s Department, from which he retired. In retirement, he enjoyed spending time at the beach, taking in the sunshine and coastal beauty of Florida.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Caren Santacroce; his daughter, Christina Santacroce Howley, and her husband, Brian; and his son, Anthony Santacroce, and his wife, Cynthia.

He was a proud grandfather to Lindsay, Lauren, Samantha, Gabriel, Evan, and Connor, and a loving great-grandfather to Ellie and Sophie.

Michael will be remembered for his dedication to his family and the love he shared with those closest to him. The memories made with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will be treasured always. Though he will be deeply missed, his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
