On January 8, 2015 Richard Dempsey Russell, 88, left this world to join his loving wife of 67 years, Dolores, in heaven. Richard was born on July 31, 1926 in St. Albans, West Virginia to Hobart and Rosie Russell. He has been a resident of Vero Beach since 1966 coming from his birthplace.
Richard worked for the city of Vero Beach for 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and jogger for many years.
He is survived by daughter, Jeanie McDaniel of Vero Beach; sons, William D. Russell of Orlando and Terry W. Russell of Vero Beach; one sister, Peggy Mosteller of Vero Beach; one brother, Eddie Russell of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great- grandsons and many dear friends and neighbors.
He was predeceased by an infant son, Richard Lee Russell, 10 brothers and 3 sisters.
