Richard James Kelly, age 80, formerly of Massapequa, NY passed away on December 31, 2018 after a courageous two year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and friends from VNA Hospice at the time of his passing.
He was born December 20, 1938 in Mineola, NY, to the late Shamus and Helen Kelly.
After 20 years of service, he retired from Nassau County, NY as a Corrections Officer.
His survivors include wife, Audrey; sons: Richard & Michael; daughter: Donna Graves; sister, Helen Rausch; brother, Robert Kelly; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Jessica Behrman.
The family expresses thanks to all caregivers as well as Hospice House for their exceptional & loving care.
