ROBERT “BOB” OTTO ROSE, 91, died February 23, 2018 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida.

Bob was born in Montclair, New Jersey, and graduated from Montclair Academy and Seton Hall University. He later served in the armed forces and is a Veteran of World War II. He then worked his entire career as an agent for the federal government in New York City and New Orleans, Louisiana and moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 1987.

Bob is predeceased by his parents, Otto and Florence Rose, and his brothers Theodore “Teddy” and William “Bill” Rose.

Bob is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathryn G. Rose; his stepchildren, Kathy Townsend and husband John, Joe Eberhardt and wife Paula; eight grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carol Rose; and his three nieces, Susan Rose, Cheryl Castiglia and Kathy Franks.

Bob lived a long and full life but will be missed by family and friends.

A private family ceremony was held on February 25, 2018. Holy Catholic Masses will be offered in Montclair, New Jersey and Sedona, Arizona.

Bob will be laid to rest at Mount Hebron Cemetery in Montclair, New Jersey.

Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

Luc and I would like to offer our condolences to the family and especially Kathryn. We befriended the Roses when we moved to Vero a few years ago and have shared many good times. Robert will be missed.

Bob will long be remembered for his keen insight, sharp wit, and for having the smarts to marry Kathryn who so lovingly cared for him…a very special couple and two of our favorite people.
