Rose Lee Finch, 88 years old, passed away peacefully on May 23rd, 2026, in Vero Beach, Florida.
She was born February 11th, 1938 to Henry Clay Price and Louise James Wood in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Rose dedicated many years of service to the Brevard County Tax Collector’s Office. She began her career at the age of 18 in the Driver License Department and faithfully served the citizens of Brevard County until her retirement.
Known to many as Annie, Rose held a special place in her heart for animals and devoted herself to treating them with kindness and compassion. Rose often spoke of the Rainbow Bridge and looked forward to the day she would be reunited with beloved pets who had gone before her. She also found great joy at the beach, where the sunshine, sea breeze, and sound of the waves brought her a sense of peace and contentment.
Survivors include her sons John Willard Yates Jr. and Gregory Clifford Yates (Lisa); daughter Liesa Louise Graham (Paul); grandchildren Billie Jo Yates, Brittany Poe, James Alvin Morgan, Rose Louise Brickles, Danielle Alexis Yates, Gregory Clifford Yates Jr.; and great grandchildren Levi William Sivils, Angelita Rose Brickles, Graciana Lee Brickles.
She was predeceased by her parents Henry Clay Price and Louise James Wood; brother Ira Stonehill; and husband Alvin J. Finch.
Known for her independence and strong spirit, Rose leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and quiet devotion to those she loved.
Funeral arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
