To the entire family, my most sincere condolence. I have done business with Sewell for 45 years, in Vero 28. This is a shock and an awakening. I always felt I would like to be a friend of Scott’s out of the work place, now realizing, yesterday was the time. Myself and our employees will feel the void this young man will leave at Sewell.

Your Mainiac Families of the Cluffs, Gosselins, Stuarts are so saddened to hear the news of Scott’s passing. Our hearts broken. Being together all those years and growing up. The memories in our hearts forever. Playing baseball, the boys going out in the “boat” fishing in the river, the Colony, the creek, the summer’s. We are sending hugs, and prayers to the Lang and Mock Families. Scott is now with our Mom. Our forever Angels from up above. We love you. <3

This is so difficult to write. Scott was my best friend for 40 years. We worked together at the John’s Island Club for a few years. We did many things together. We moved to the mountains of North Carolina in 2002. Scott every year would spend a week with us in the spring and the fall. Those were memories that we will never forget. We hiked, played golf and would go out to eat and just hang around together at our home. Scott was a kind man, a considerate man and so loved his family. He worked at Sewell Hardware for over 30 years as their manager. He loved his job and was so loyal to it. I could go on and on about the fun times we had and we never disagreed about anything. He loved coming to the mountains and wanted to move here when he retired. We love Scott so much and just cannot grasp that he has left us. Our sincere condolences to John, Marlene, Gary, Brian, Lori, Dan and Daniel who are truly wonderful people. They were all there from the time Scott became seriously ill until he passed. The amazing thing about Scott was his attitude. I would talk to him every day on the phone. He never complained about his illness and told me “I believe what you get is what you got” and you know what he was not concerned about his condition but very worried about Marlene and John for the stress he was causing. There is only one Scott Lang, my dear friend we all love you, will miss you immensely, but some day we will be together again, playing golf and hiking in the mountains of heaven.
