Sylvia Irene Clark, 67, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully at her home on July 9, 2026.
Born on May 7, 1959, in Vero Beach, Florida, Sylvia was the beloved daughter of the late Floyd and Louis Tillis. A lifelong resident of the area, she graduated from Vero Beach High School and built a life centered on hard work, family, and the simple joys she loved.
Sylvia dedicated more than 25 years of service to the City of Sebastian, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment. She also spent over 15 years with AMC Theaters, enjoying the friendships she made along the way.
She found her greatest happiness outdoors, especially near the water. Whether she was fishing, attending car and tractor shows, or simply spending time with those she loved, Sylvia appreciated life’s simple pleasures. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, caring heart, and the love she shared with her family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger Elmore Clark, in 2025.
Sylvia leaves behind her son, Roger (Bo) Clark, Jr.; her daughter, Amanda McCord; six cherished grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory in Vero Beach. The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 p.m.
