Walter F. Biadasz, age 91, of Vero Beach, FL passed away on March 16, 2017, at Indian River Medical Center. He was born December 26, 1925, in Webster, MA, the son of Albert and Juliana (Andrzejweska) Biadasz.

His beloved wife Esther (Rzeszutko) Biadasz, died on May 19, 2006, in Palm City, FL. He is survived by a daughter, Dr. Linda (Biadasz) Clerch and her husband, Frank of Vero Beach, FL; two grandsons, Anthony Clerch and his wife, Michelle of Port St. Lucie, FL and Geoffrey Clerch and his wife, Blanca of Frederick, MD; and three great grandchildren, Tyler Clerch of Chevy Chase, MD and Alicia and brother Alejandro Clerch of Frederick, MD.

Walter was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of WW II and served in the Pacific Theatre on the USS Sterope AK 96, an Attack Cargo Ship and saw action in the landings at Guam and Okinawa. He was later transferred to the USS Ramsden DE 382, a Destroyer Escort assigned to escorting larger ships in the China Seas. He was discharged as a Petty Officer 2nd Class.

After discharge he was employed by the Waterhouse Furniture Factory in Dudley, MA which was later acquired by Ethan Allen Inc. Walter was promoted to Plant Manager at the Dudley, MA plant facility. He lived in Dudley, MA at that time and in 1970 moved to Danbury, CT where he was appointed to the Ethan Allen Inc. Board of Directors and Vice President of Manufacturing for the Ethan Allen Furniture.

He retired in 1986 and with Esther moved to Hobe Sound, FL where they enjoyed a Heritage Ridge Country Club social and golf life. After her death in 2006, he moved to Vero Beach, FL where he resided next door to his loving daughter, Linda.

Walter loved people and life and will be long remembered as “Gramp” by his grandsons and great grandchildren who he adored. He was dedicated to Family History and Genealogy and travelled to Poland numerous times to search for family members. A great joy in his later years was reaching out to family members as editor of a Biadasz family newsletter.

He was greatly loved by family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Basilica in Webster, MA on Saturday, April 8, 2017.
